The Mentorship program has been developed on the principle of youth learning from youth. The project brings together youth groups who are interested in running a successful environmental project, with the youth network. The youth network coordinator works closely with 4 eco groups to support skill development in areas such as project management, leadership, and fundraising to implement real, tangible projects in their community. Goals and measurable results are set and monitored by students and the Environmental Youth Network. The Mentorship program works with the project ideas of the youth groups, but also has the ability to provide a framework for reproducible projects that have successfully been implemented and can be adopted by other groups. These include composting, water conservation, wilderness biology, and education. The mentorship program aims at creating youth leaders through facilitated, and creative experiential learning regardless of their experience, or skills.
