Calling all Youth Environmental Leaders!

The Earth Island Institute is on a quest to find outstanding youth environmental leaders:

What is this? The Brower Youth Awards – created in 2000 to honour David Brower who said “I love to see what young people can do, before someone old tells them it’s impossible.” That sounds like something that we can get behind!

Who should be nominated? Youth environmental change leaders ages 13 to 22 who live in North America. They’re looking for people who are

When is the deadline? May 12, 2014.

Why would I want to nominate someone? To get them some sweet recognition for all the hard work they do! Each winner gets a $3000 cash prize, a short film will be made about their work, and a week-long trip to San Francisco. While there they will get to participate in a ton of fun things like a camping trip, leadership activities, trainings and environmental conferences where they’ll have a chance to meet with mentors and peers. The week will end with an awards ceremony with close to 1000 guests.
