1) This is a new US Environmental Protection Agency tool for determining causes of ecological harm to rivers and streams: "Causal Analysis Diagnosis Decision Information System (CADDIS)” can be found at: http://www.epa.gov/caddis.
2) The Smart Watershed Benchmarking Tool guidance document contains:
A complete benchmarking tool with step-by-step guidance on how to complete
the tool and interpret community scores; detailed profile sheets that describe
each of the 14 Smart Watershed programs, including a case study, tips for
implementing or improving the program, and further resources and links;
overview of smart watershed programs, their benefits and applications for
local communities; and further details on restoration budgeting and adapting
the tool for special community conditions.

3) The Commission for Environmental Cooperation has created the first comprehensive
and online digital map of North America. The CEC and its partners developed
the first map of North America to be drawn by all three North American countries—the
first living map of our continent to be available online and updated as
new information is available. Institutions and individuals can freely use
the map to advance scientific research, environmental promotion and any
number of applications. The atlas partners—the CEC, Atlas of Canada,
Mexico’s Instituto Nacional de Estadística, Geografía
